Now bike-less, Pat Sherwood and Ian Wittenber are in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Day 98 of their “motorcycle” adventure from the U.S. to Chile.
The duo has dedicated four days to visiting affiliates in the country’s capital. Among them is CrossFit Underdog, which Blas Raventos started in his bedroom in his parents’ house.
“It was normal for me to have six, seven people at the same time here,” he says while standing in his bedroom.
He has since graduated from the bedroom into a facility with several hundred members.
And there’s RM CrossFit, an affiliate whose member Sebastian Stefanetti “harassed” Sherwood on Twitter and Facebook until he agreed to visit.
“They deserve this,” Stefanetti says of RM CrossFit. “They are pretty good people, basically. And I love them, basically. They are my second family here.”
Three days later, the men are back in Tucumán, Argentina, to meet with an unresponsive mechanic about Sherwood’s dead motorcycle.
“Our bikes are in this town, in an unknown state of repair or disrepair, an unknown timeline,” he explains. “I have no freaking clue what’s going on with the trip.”
