With the New Year upon us, Heber Cannon and Eric Maciel offer this retrospective collection of some of the best moments of 2013 as seen through CrossFit Media’s lenses.
From the elegant beauty of Chad Vaughn’s slow-motion snatch to the intensity of Rich Froning vs. Jason Khalipa in Open Workout 13.5, it’s been a memorable year of video.
Also included is CrossFit Founder and CEO Greg Glassman’s emotional announcement of the Hotshots 19 event to honor the firefighters killed in a Yarnell, Ariz., wildfire on June 30, as well as a tribute to the fallen who were memorialized with Hero workouts in 2013.
On the lighter side is dejected motorcycle tourist Pat Sherwood, who likens dealing with a Latin American customs official to being penetrated with a “super fist,” there’s Miranda Oldroyd sporting bling and dropping rhymes in the Too Fit 2 Quit video, and there’s a shameless plug for Broflex, the fitness trend that might be the secret to Dan Bailey’s success.
Thanks to everyone for all the memories, and here’s to 2014.
