2:25 Geo Rockwell has opened two affiliates, one on the West Coast and one on the East Coast. After starting and running an affiliate in San Diego, Calif., for three years, Rockwell decided it was time to return to Baltimore, where he grew up, to open CrossFit Federal Hill. Rockwell spoke about the CrossFit culture in two diverse locations, and he explained how he keeps things fresh for experienced members while helping advanced athletes progress as well. As an experienced affiliate owner, Rockwell described his processes for bringing in a new client or welcoming an experienced CrossFit athlete who wants to join his affiliate.
With Workout 14.1 approaching quickly, Rockwell gave his thoughts on the Open. He detailed what he’s been doing to encourage his athletes to participate and explained how he’s been programming workouts to prepare them for the five-week competition.
