Casey Parlett’s goal in life is to be the best coach in the world, and the 29-year-old has dedicated himself to changing the lives of others at CrossFit 760 in San Diego, California.
“To make that difference in one person’s life you get addicted to that,” Parlett says. “Every day that I walk in the door, I strive to be better than I was the day before, and I strive to be the best . I want to be known as somebody that made a difference.”
Parlett and his brother recently opened a second location after the first became successful.
“When (my brother) opened the first (affiliate), it was never his intention to just have one,” Parlett says. “If you open one successful business, you might as well open a second one, and then a third and a fourth, so it was kind of the business model all along. We just never really thought that it would happen as quickly as it did.”
A lot of thought and care went into the new location. In addition to permanent padding near the walls to make handstand push-ups and sit-ups easily accessible, the affiliate is home to two showers that “most people would like to have at their house,” Parlett says.
Humble but confident, Parlett’s aim is to continue to use CrossFit to better not only his affiliate community but also himself.
