Nick Bollettieri has been involved in the careers of a host of world-class tennis players. Names like Agassi, Courier, Seles, Sharapova and many others litter Bollettieri’s CV. In 1978 he created the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Acadamy in Bradenton, Fla., which served as a full-time boarding school for up-and-coming tennis stars. That tennis academy was purchased in 1987, and Bollettieri’s tennis school has grown into what we now know as the IMG Academies, the location of a recent gathering of CrossFit’s elite.
Bollettieri has an enormous amount of experience in developing athletes and maintaining his own fitness, and Sevan Matossian managed to catch the legendary coach as he emerged from the weight room and addressed a group of CrossFitters.
“No matter what you do, take care of yourself. You only have one body,” the legend advises.
