Take another look at the 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games from the perspective of the volunteers who made it all possible. Meet some of these hard-working folks and find out why they gave back to their community.
Chantel Jimenez, the volunteer director, says, “I have great people, great people to work with. The volunteers are eager. They want to get busy. They want to do stuff, move stuff, lift stuff—whatever we need them to do, even just sitting down checking out radios, they’re willing to do it.”
Says one volunteer, “It’s a collaborative effort . Why not try to build something that grows as we grow?”
“Some people come to L.A. to see the movie stars, and I about died last night just standing next to Chris Spealler,” says another volunteer. “This is my sport. I love CrossFit. I’m so excited to be here.”
