
New to the 2010 CrossFit Games is the Masters Competition, where 15 male and 15 female athletes will compete to be the fittest over 50. To qualify for the main event, regional masters athletes were given three workouts and their results were thrown into a global pool, with the top competitors moving on to Los Angeles in July.
Two competitors made it out of the Northwest: Larry Silber (seventh overall) and Laurie Carver (second).
The WODs:
WOD 1
3 rounds for time of:
50 double-unders
21 kettlebell swings (1.5/1 pood)
12 pull-ups
WOD 2
1-rep-max thruster
WOD 3
AMRAP in 20 minutes of:
5 chest-to-bar pull-ups
10 push-ups
15 squats
