This episode was webcast live at 6 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010.
4:40 Richard Airey has been an endurance athlete since he was five years old. He came on the show to talk about his conversion from the traditional method of training to CrossFit and CrossFit Endurance. Since attending a certification, he has used the CrossFit Endurance methodology to run less miles but increase his performance and reduce recovery time.
23:40 Following the example set by Brad Mckee to raise money and awareness for The Disposable Heroes Project, Brent Huntington has started a team that plans on running in this year’s Seattle Marathon on Nov. 28, 2010. He came on the show to talk about how this idea was formed and why it means so much to him. Brent also gave information on what people are doing to help and how CrossFitters can get involved.
37:35 Being a former SEAL and a Level 1 CrossFit trainer, Mark Divine knows how to physically and mentally prepare those soldiers desiring to enter the ranks of the world’s elite. Mark described what SEALFIT is and how it’s a step beyond his affiliate, US CrossFit. Mark talked about how his camps are designed to create elite fitness, mental toughness and a warrior spirit, and he explained how he programs his WODs to do this in a team environment. He also described what it was like to have well-known CrossFitters attend his recent Kokoro camp.
