CrossFit Radio Episode 183

On Episode 183 of CrossFit Radio, host Justin Judkins interviewed Chris Pace, who is doing a fundraiser for The Disposable Heroes Project. He also spoke to 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games sixth-place finisher Jenny LaBaw. This episode was webcast live at 6 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011.

7:45 On Sept. 11, Chris Pace will arrive at the World Trade Center site after biking 150 miles and running 100 miles straight through. His goal is to raise $25,000 for The Disposable Heroes Project. He came on the show to talk about how this unique fundraiser originated and how he’s using only CrossFit to prepare and train for the monumental task. He also explained how CrossFitters can help and where the money will go.

22:45 Jenny LaBaw moved to Chico, Calif., and started CrossFitting last year. Surprisingly, she placed sixth in the 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games. LaBaw came on the show to talk about her experience during the competition and described what effect the Games will have on her training this year. LaBaw commented on how the Open and the Games were complete tests of fitness, and she described the swim that opened the 2011 Games.
