Join Sevan Matossian as he captures athletes, judges, spectators and staff at the 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games, providing a look at what goes on before, during and after the events. In Part 2, Sevan films the athletes as they prepare for the skills events and catches up with them afterward as they prepare for their next challenge.
Camille Leblanc-Bazinet stays positive throughout the experience.
“I’m just happy to be here and you cannot be disappointed if you try your best all the time,” she says.
Pat Barber is having a great time too.
“It’s definitely an awesome, awesome environment to compete in,” the Manimal says. “It’s a very supportive group of badass athletes.”
Even though Annie Thorisdottir takes first in the handstand walk, she says winning isn’t everything.
“The main thing is I wanna do the best that I know I can do. I get annoyed with myself or frustrated when I know I could’ve done better,” she says.
Sevan also catches the production team as they busily prepare video on the first day of competition, and he wades into the stream of CrossFit spectators as they support the vendors around the stadium.
